95th Year Boston Celebration Honoring Robert Willoughby

On behalf of the flutists of the Boston flute community, it is our collective honor to invite you to Flutistry Boston on Saturday, April 15th at 5:30 pm for an event honoring Robert Willoughby’s 95th year and his incredible contributions to the global flute community! During Mr. Willoughby’s many years at Oberlin, Peabody, and now at Longy, his teaching, performance and mentorship have been unsurpassed. Please join us for a celebratory concert to give thanks to his incredible dedication to music. This event is free and will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/FlutistryBoston and www.fluteevents.com!
Whether you plan to attend in person, online, or in spirit – we are extending everyone (and any associates you wish to forward this to) an invitation to participate via a Robert Willoughby Video Tribute project:
- You are invited to film a short 30-60 second recorded video message to Mr. Willoughby for broadcast at the concert! You can play a short tune, wish him a happy 95th year, express your gratitude and/or his importance to you, or share a memorable story. All of the messages will be compiled into a single video that will be played on our big tv in Flutistry’s concert room during the event. The video will be posted on social media after the event.
