Metropolitan Flute Orchestra in concert

The Metropolitan Flute Orchestra, in summer residence at New England Conservatory, presents “Fire, Ice and Northern Lights”, as part of the 17th Annual New England Conservatory Summer Metropolitan Flute Festival. Directed by Paige Dashner Long, the concert features works by Sibelius, Anderson, deFalla, Mendelssohn, Louke, Cohen, Long and Grieg, using a variety of flutes, spanning an amazing seven octaves – from piccolo to double contrabass flute.
